PROJECT: Family History and Missionary Department “One Work” Stories
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, September 28, 2018
LDS: Applicants must be temple-worthy members of the LDS Church

We are searching for stories from members about how they were able to use Family History to start or further a friendship with those not of our faith. We are also searching for stories in which members were able to do missionary work through Family History. Videos of these stories will be featured on a new Church website.

Members of the LDS Church: male and female; ages 8 and up for whom Family History was a means of deepening a friendship with someone who is not a member, or for whom Family History provided a missionary opportunity.
Initial submission due September 28th
Shoot is TBD in October through mid-November.
If your story is selected, we will work with your schedule to capture your story.

Volunteer opportunity to share your testimony!

Applicants must be temple worthy members of the LDS Church.


1.       Record a video of yourself speaking directly to camera.

a.       State your name, age, and agency (if applicable).

b.       In 60 seconds or less, summarize your experience using Family History as a friendshipping or missionary tool.

c.       Upload the video to a file-sharing site such as YouTube or Vimeo. Set the privacy to “Unlisted.”

2.       Share the link to your video on our online application ( You will also be asked to provide some current photos. These can be snapshots taken with your phone.

Applications must be received by Friday, September 28th.
