Background Actors (Extras) may submit at any time, although we would appreciate receiving your submission as soon as possible.

***PROJECT UPDATE***
We will be filming this project the week of January 6th now. You will have additional time to submit an audition. Please see new deadlines below.

PROJECT: Missionary Training Broadcast 2020
AUDITION DEADLINE: 9:00 am, Monday, December 30th   
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Applicants must be temple-worthy members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

We are producing some training videos for missionaries that portrays missionaries in various situations interacting with those who are learning about the Church. The scenes will demonstrate an incorrect way to handle a situation, as well as a more appropriate way. We will be filming 4 scenarios, each with a different cast as outlined below. All roles are speaking.

SEEKING
“Magic”
“Magic” Sister Missionary #1 and #2: female; one will be Caucasian, and the other will be of another ethnicity; age 19-25, or look it
“Magic” Mom: female; early 30s; any ethnicity
Brittany: female, age 8-10, or looks it; daughter to “Magic” Mom.
Ryan: male, age 6-8, or looks it; son to “Magic” Mom

“Walk the Dog”
Elder Missionary #1 and #2: male; one will be Caucasian, and the other will be another ethnicity; age 18-25, or look it; must be clean cut, or willing to be clean cut
“Dog” Dad: late 30s-early 40s; male; any ethnicity, would prefer not Caucasian
“Dog” Mom: late 30s-early 40s

“Struggle”
“Struggle” Sister Missionary #1 and #2: female; both could be Caucasian; age 19-25, or look it
“Struggle” Mom: female; late 20s-early 30s; any ethnicity

“Mustard Seed”
“Mustard” Sister Missionary #1 and #2: female; both could be ethnicity other than Caucasian; age 19-25, or look it
College Student: female; age 19-21, or look it; prefer ethnicity other than Caucasian
WHEN
Initial audition due by 9:00 am Monday, December 30th

Shoot: Provo
Applicants must be willing to work as locals.
RATES
 $500 + 10% agency fee, if applicable


Applicants must be temple worthy members of the Church and eligible to work in the United States.

TO AUDITION
                                                                             
1.          Record a video of you performing the side for the role you are auditioning for. The sides can be found here and are named for the script name. (side URL: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V09_10hTmJZqNBIa6bo3oPX9OZ-iuT-u?usp=sharing )
a.          Include:
                                                                                         i.         Name, Agency (if applicable)
                                                                                       ii.         Your performance of the scene. Play the scene toward camera. Place the other characters in the scene just off camera to one side.
                                                                                    iii.         Upload the video to a file-sharing site such as YouTube or Vimeo. Set the privacy to “Unlisted.”

Deseret Industries "Christmas Bicycle" Project


PROJECT: Deseret Industries Videos: “Christmas Bicycle”
AUDITION DEADLINE: 9:00 am, Monday, November 18th    
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Applicants must be temple-worthy members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

We are producing a video for Deseret Industries that highlights the work of a man who takes old bikes found at DI, refurbishes them, and gives them away. In this story, the man meets with a Mom and Dad who are struggling financially, but want to give their daughter a bicycle for Christmas. We are casting the Mom, Dad, 8-12 year-old daughter, and a couple of siblings. The video will be mostly B-roll, so the scenes will be improvised, but ultimately, the dialogue will not be heard much.

SEEKING
Mom: female; any ethnicity, but preferably Caucasian; early 30s to mid-40s;
Dad: male; any ethnicity, but preferably Caucasian; early 30s to mid-40s;
9-12 Year-old Daughter: female; any ethnicity, but preferably Caucasian and will need to match Mom and Dad
Siblings: female and male; 3-12 years old; any ethnicity, but will be cast to match Mom, Dad, and Daughter

WHEN
Application due by 9:00 am Monday, November 18th     
Shoot Friday, November 22nd.

LOCATION
Shoot: TBD, in Salt Lake or Utah Counties
Applicants must be willing to work as locals.
RATES
Mom and Dad: $600 + 10% agency fee, if applicable
Daughter: $400 + 10% agency fee, if applicable
Siblings: $250 + 10% agency fee, if applicable


Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
